Los Angeles Auto Show – 2005

For the 4th year, Cars 4 Causes® proudly sponsored a booth at The L.A Auto Show displaying our car donation program information and some of our most unique automobile donations. The 10 day event, running January 7-16, brought hundreds of thousands of visitors to the Cars 4 Causes® booth, giving us the wonderful opportunity to meet many of them face to face, shake their hands and introduce ourselves.
Many of the visitors to our booth were previous donors (some several times over) and very familiar with the Cars 4 Causes® cars donation program, but many weren’t and were delighted to learn more about it.
The Greater Los Angeles Auto Show has come a long way since it was first organized by Packard Auto Dealer Earle C. Anthony in 1905. Originally held in a large tent, that inaugural show boasted an attendance of a little over 4,000 visitors. But today, with the L.A. Auto Show held at the Los Angeles Convention Center in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, the organizers of the 2005 show can really bust their buttons boasting an attendance of over 1.7 million.
In 1908, when Henry Ford's Model T made its debut, few fully realized the future impact of the automobile on the ordinary citizen's daily life. And no one would have believed at that time that their car could one day be donated to better the community.
