FOURTH ANNUAL Kids Art Contest

A big "Thank You!" to each and every student from the South Oxnard Elementary School District who submitted their artwork to the Fourth Annual Cars 4 Causes^® Kids Art Contest; "My Favorite Way of Helping Others." It was obvious, looking at all the contest submissions, that the South Oxnard Elementary School District is very lucky to have so many wonderful students who truly enjoy helping others.

Each year Cars 4 Causes^® holds a Kids Art Contest at the "elementary level" of a chosen local school district. The contest requires student participants to submit drawings representing "How They Help Others." The winning drawings are chosen by a panel of judges consisting of local members of fire, police, city hall and the school district. Each winning students' classroom receives $1,000 for their school and is allowed to select a charity of their choice to receive an additional $1,000 donation from Cars 4 Causes^®. This gives the students the experience of the "gift of giving." In total, Cars 4 Causes^® donates $10,000 with each Annual Art Contest to the various winning classrooms and the charities they select.

Oxnard Mayor Tom Holden thanked Cars 4 Causes^® for all the hard work we put into The Annual Art Contest and its support for the local Oxnard School District.

Cars 4 Causes^® would also like to take this opportunity to thank the staff and teachers of the South Oxnard School District, as well as the parents of the students for their enthusiasm and support for this project.

All of the drawings entered were so great that it really made the judges' job of choosing the winners super difficult! Our heart-felt appreciation is extended to each of the judges. You sure had your work cut out for you!

The 2010-2011 The Fifth Annual Art Contest will take place within the Santa Paula School District. This will include Barbara Webster Elementary, Blanchard Elementary, Glen City Elementary, McKevett Elementary, Grace Thille Elementary and Thelma Bedell Elementary.
