Elizabeth Laughlin (pictured with her family), is a single mother of four, three of whom have cystic fibrosis. Because Elizabeth did not have a car, she walked her children to school every day, a three-mile round trip, in every kind of weather. On top of that her three school-age children each have different schedules which meant she made the round trip three times a day.

Cassandra Webster (pictured), whose son Joshua was diagnosed with cerebral palsy earlier this year and must receive his therapy miles from where he lives, relied upon an aging car to make the long trips... that is, until the car gave out and Cassandra had no reserve funds for another vehicle.
