Q. What kind of boat or vessel will Boats 4 Causes^sm accept as a donation?
We accept many kinds of boats and personal watercraft (PWC) as a donation. This includes, but is not limited to yachts, sailboats, powerboats, fishing boats, commercial boats, SeaDoos, jet skis, canoes, kayaks, paddleboats and more! If you aren't sure if we will accept it, please call us!

Q. What kind of tax receipt will I receive?
You will receive a donation receipt after the vessel sells letting you know the exact amount the boat sold for.

Q. I am not comfortable giving my signed title away with anything in return.
We provide you with a pick up receipt and a tax receipt.

Q. How long does this process take to complete?
Once we receive the donor inventory sheet, pictures, and title paperwork the majority of our donated boats sell in 2 weeks.

Q. What do you need from me?
We will need the donor inventory sheet filled out, pictures, and title paperwork.

Q. Will there be a reserve?
Each boat donation that comes in is different. A reserve may be used in some cases.

Q. How much will if get to write off on my taxes if I make a boat donation?
You may deduct the full price that we receive from the sale of your donated boat.

We try to accept all boats, running or not.
