The Silver Braid was established to help heal the victims of sexual violence, domestic violence, sexual assault and child trafficking. Operation Silver Braid is the main program run by its parent nonprofit, Voices for Justice. The program operates outreach networks throughout the United States that provide victims with the tools to help prevent re-victimization.
