Mastering Abilities Riding Equine (M.A.R.E.) is a therapeutic riding center providing children and adults who have physical, cognitive or emotional challenges with equine assisted programs.

Programs serving the Kern County community include sport riding, equestrian vaulting, hippotherapy (with services provided by a licensed health professional), carriage driving, and the Summer Teen Equestrian Enrichment Program (STEEP). The M.A.R.E programs are designed to assist in the enhancement of self-esteem and confidence, normalized balance and muscle tone in addition to improvement of cognitive and problem solving skills.
