The Community Alliance for Birth Options (CABO) was established to protect access to alternative birth options. CABO opened the fully accredited Beachside Birth Center was in 2009, and has continued to offer comprehensive services, including preconception counseling, pregnancy testing, prenatal care, lab and testing services, birthing services, postpartum support and more. This organization works to promote awareness and access to birth options, including the collaborative practice of nurse-midwives and physicians in hospitals.
