Southwest Montana's Big Hole River is one of the few free-flowing rivers remaining in the west. The Big Hole River Foundation's mission is to conserve, enhance and protect it's free-flowing character. Some of the programs designed to support its goals of preserving the river's unique culture, fish and wildlife include working to develop science-based conservation strategies, restoration projects, education and outreach initiatives, and conservation easement partnerships.
