Some families can’t afford even the most affordable transportation, and for them, Cars 4 Causes® created the Give-Away Program. Over the last 5 years, we’ve given almost $1 million worth of cars to people in need.This may be one of the most rewarding things we do at Cars 4 Causes®. We’ve seen the simple gift of a car take the desperation out of the eyes of working mothers, struggling fathers, and individuals down on their luck. But we’ll let the recipients tell their own stories.
Because Elizabeth did not have a car, she walked her children to school every day, a three-mile round trip, in every kind of weather. On top of that her three school-age children each have different schedules which meant she made the round trip three times a day.
Cassandra Webster (pictured), whose son Joshua was diagnosed with cerebral palsy earlier this year and must receive his therapy miles from where he lives, relied upon an aging car to make the long trips … that is, until the car gave out and Cassandra had no reserve funds for another vehicle.
